Broom, Salt & Swirl Finishes
Classic non-stamped finishes for walkways, patios and borders, from the safe grip of a broom finish to a decorative swirl.

- Traction: Good to excellent
What it is, and why it works.
Not every surface needs a stamp. A broom finish draws fine lines across the surface for a safe, economical grip. A salt finish presses rock salt into the wet slab and washes it out to leave a pitted, resort-style texture. Swirl and fan finishes use a trowel or brush to create flowing arcs.
These finishes pair well with stamped surfaces too: a stamped field with a broom-finish border looks tidy and keeps costs under control. We choose texture depth based on use, since pool decks, steps and sloped drives need more grip than a patio. Around Nashville, they are popular for walks, basement patios and secondary areas.
